Jennifer Esson is a multi-disciplinary fashion designer with six years of experience working in the premium & luxury fashion goods sector.

Previous to her current menswear & womenswear design position at Pringle of Scotland, she was a menswear and concept designer at Hugo Boss based in Germany covering the following; design, research, creating mood boards, trend & colour analysis, CAD & tech packs, 3D design, lookbook shoot assisting, styling and Illustration.

Alongside apparel design, she co-founded the food brand, Kay's Kimchi in 2023, featured in GQ magazine in the March 2024 issue.

Having grown up in London, UK, with a dual heritage of British and Korean, Jennifer is inspired by the contrasts in social, cultural and artistic differences between the two. Whilst studying Art Foundation and Fashion Design at Kingston School of Art for five years, one was spent at Hongik University, Seoul, to explore more specifically into textile art, which developed into a passion in the area. Her final graduate collection was heavily influenced by unusual & up-cycled materials to create a textile form.

 

Previous employment and internship placements include Hugo Boss, H&M, Tom Ford, Michael Kors, Giles Deacon, Sophie Hulme and Faustine Steinmetz.
